Hi.

I'm Iain Robertson, a twenty-something year old systems and software engineer, based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. My specific area of interest is network and systems integration; specifically, I like to think that I do a fantastic job of specifying the best possible network and computer systems combinations for a given application set, within a reasonable price range. Further, others for whom I work would thoroughly agree with this statement, broad as it sounds.

I've worked at a range of places, from defence/aerospace companies through to research and tertiary education.

Past

In 2001, I successfully completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering from GU. Took me four years, but given that it's a four year degree, I'm not sure this is a bad thing. In theory, having this degree qualifies me to Engineer Software, although it's rare that I actually do so.
